The 28th Montier Photo Festival, an unmissable event for wildlife and nature photography, will take place from November 20 to 23 in Montier-en-Der and its surroundings, in the heart of Haute-Marne, in the Grand Est region. This event, deeply rooted in the preservation of life and the discovery of biodiversity, is a true hymn to exploration, wonder, and awareness. Whether you are a diver or not, curious, passionate photographer, or nature lover, get ready to experience a total immersion just steps from the water, in an atmosphere where nature reigns.
Exceptional patrons: Laurent Ballesta and Vincent Munier
Each year, the festival chooses patrons renowned for their commitment and creativity. For 2025, two major figures are in the spotlight:
– Laurent BALLESTA – Underwater photographer, biologist, and abyssal explorer, with both an artistic and scientific approach. His exhibition, Far from the sky, takes you to unknown underwater worlds through his expeditions.

– Vincent MUNIER – Wildlife photographer and filmmaker celebrated for his minimalist and poetic images, explorer of icy lands and mystical forests.
His exhibition, The Song of the Forests, invites you to walk to the rhythm of the beings that inhabit the woods, to be silent and listen.

Their mission? To raise the voice of life even higher through images and storytelling.
Alongside them, prestigious guests of honor: Cathy Bernot, Kyriakos Kaziras, Kean-Michel Lenoir, Matthieu Ricard, Sandrot, Hans Silvester, and Neil Villard. Their involvement reflects the richness of the event and the union of talents to celebrate nature in all its forms.
A unifying event around nature
Attracting more than 40,000 visitors from all over Europe — divers, naturalists, travelers, families, and professionals — the Festival brings together no less than 250 exhibitors and over a hundred photographers, artists, scientists, all mobilized to defend the beauty of life and the major contemporary environmental issues.
