An Innovative Initiative

Team Abyss was created last June under the impetus of Christian Vogler, coach of the French national freediving team. This professional team brings a new dimension to freediving, offering diverse training options and an innovative approach to competitions. In just a few months, Team Abyss has already shined at the 2023 French Open Water Freediving Championships (securing two gold medals), at Vertical Blue in the Bahamas, and at the world championships in Honduras.

The Role of Christian Vogler

Manager and founder of Team Abyss, Christian Vogler has just returned from Honduras, where he participated in the world championships. With humor, he states, coffee cup in hand: “I should have gone to bed earlier, there’s an eight-hour time difference!” His primary role is to “put oil in the gears” of the team. His good mood and desire to share are palpable, even with the time difference.
