An Important Mission

This morning, in calm weather, the Gueydan II, a 12-meter diving boat, heads south of the Maïre Island. On board, about fifteen divers, dressed in red suits with fluorescent patterns, are getting ready. Among them are firefighters from departments such as Oise, Indre-et-Loire, Ille-et-Vilaine, and Loire-Atlantique, in training at the CNP.

Coordination of Operations

Cédric, in charge of the rescue operations, calls the unit leaders to the aft deck to check the equipment. « Are your dive teams ready? » he asks after receiving an urgent call from the CODIS. Three spearfishers dive to 20 meters, but one of them remained at the bottom. The boat quickly heads to the search area near the rocky peaks of the Pharillons.
