The thirteenth edition of the underwater environment beach tour begins next weekend, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July, at Palavas les Flots.

In partnership with the French Federation of Diving (FFESSM), the team from the association Objectif Atlantide, led by its founder Daniel Méouchy, travels from beach to beach during the month of July to offer tourists the opportunity to discover the seabed for free at their swimming location. Supervised by instructors, the snorkeling is easily accessible, it can be practiced by young children who can swim as well as seniors, why not take the opportunity to have a good time with family? The main objective, when participants are comfortable enough, is to introduce them to this wildlife, « within mask’s reach, » to better know it and therefore better preserve it.

More concretely… Participants are invited to put on a wetsuit, wear fins, and put on a mask and snorkel to learn how to use them for free and safely. A state-certified instructor explains to a small group of five to six people how to use the equipment. Once everyone is comfortable, the group swims along the shoreline and the instructor shows the different species that can be encountered, provides explanations and advice on how to protect the environment.
