It was under a bright sun that the participants of the underwater photography meetings of the Arcachon Basin – a step counting for the French wildlife cup – embarked on Saturday, September 1st on the Zodiac boats provided to them. They made two dives at the Hortense site, south of Cap Ferret, after which they had to select 5 images (without any retouching allowed, only cropping permitted), including 2 of fish.
For two days, they benefited from flawless organization put in place by Catherine and Patrick Ragot, president of the national audiovisual commission of the FFESSM, with the support of the Gironde CODEP, the CPA, the Arcachon diving club chaired by Christian Laudinet, and by the city hall of Arcachon, which provided the event with 4 tents placed at the entrance of the port, an exceptional location overlooking the basin.
Besides the photo rankings, a video contest was also offered. Plongez!, a partner of the event, provided several one-year subscriptions to the magazine.
