For 50 days they prepared, diving at night, setting up cameras on the seabed, and attaching receivers connected to implants under the skin of 40 sharks, analyzing every move of this horde of sharks day and night. The goal of this operation? To discover why these sharks are so numerous, what drives them to gather like this, and whether there is any organization in these nocturnal hunting scenes. Can a horde of sharks be more efficient than a pack of wolves? They had 50 days, not one more, to carry out this research, until the full moon: that unique time of year when thousands of groupers gather to mate, offering a true feast for the sharks.

Discover, through the stunning images captured by the entire Gombessa IV team, this scientific adventure, its actors, their organization on the atoll and underwater, and the initial results of their observations.700 Sharks Into the NightSaturday, June 9, 2018, at 8:50 PM on Arte and available for replay for 60 days.
