Because it is important to ensure good visibility underwater, Auvergne opticians Scubavision offer to equip you with progressive lenses entirely dedicated to diving masks.
Besides ruining the diving experience when vision is poor, sight is an essential safety element (reading the computer, estimating distances, communicating with other divers…). Having a vision defect, even a significant one, is not a contraindication to diving. It is the diver’s responsibility to equip themselves for properly corrected vision.

While corrective lenses for masks have existed for a long time, the progressive lens for diving masks is an innovation by the brand. Measurement is taken remotely, wherever you are (France, Belgium, Switzerland, or in the Dom and Tom) and assembly is carried out in its workshops in Auvergne. The progressive lens offers smooth transition between far and near visions, similar to eyeglasses. Forget the « image jump » caused by the transition between far and near visions, characteristic of bifocal lenses. Far, near, or intermediate vision: progressive lenses adapt to all circumstances, whether you’re enjoying the surrounding spectacle or focusing on your equipment. The polymerized progressive lens is glued inside the original lens.
Selling price: €299 per lens.
Which corrective diving mask to choose?

There are two types of corrective diving masks: one for distance vision and one with progressive lenses.
- The corrective diving mask for distance vision
Do you need glasses daily to improve your distance vision, and your near vision is satisfactory with the same glasses without needing progressive lenses? Then the corrective diving mask for distance vision is the option you need.
- The corrective diving mask with progressive lenses
Do you usually wear a frame equipped with progressive lenses, and require them to see correctly near, such as when looking at your watch? Opt for a corrective mask with progressive lenses.
I received my lenses as planned. And from the first immersion, I could see as well as if I had my glasses on. I’ve always dived with corrective lenses but with progressive lenses, I noticed a real difference. As a photographer, my gaze continuously shifts from the surrounding landscape to my camera, now I can do it smoothly. It’s very pleasant!
