What is this event with the strange name of Frozen Aquaclicks ? With the backdrop of one of the most beautiful crater lakes in Auvergne, it’s a rather unique underwater photography contest as it takes place under the ice. Last year, the very first edition was held at Lake Pavin in Puy-de-Dôme (department 63), and it was quite successful. Thus, one fine February morning, six indomitable photographers (2 from Isère, 1 from Rhône, 2 from Puy de Dôme, and 1 from Bouches du Rhône), not at all daunted by the unfavorable weather conditions, took to the… cold water! For 2016, the organizers have decided to do it again: the meeting is scheduled for February 20, 2016.

OrganizationOpen to all 2016 FFESSM license holders from level 2 onwards, the Frozen Aquaclicks is organized by Christine Beaudeau, head of the Audiovisual Commission of the Departmental Committee of 63. The contest is offered to photographers equipped with a digital camera. The total number of participants (in order of registration) is limited to 14. A safety line is, of course, in place, and each photographer is accompanied by at least an E3 instructor to ensure safety.Registration deadline for the Frozen Aquaclicks : February 10.Information and registration for the photo contest: http://cnav.imagesub.com/competitions-a-venir/353-aquaclic-2016-lav-pavin
