The beginning of an adventure on Facebook

It all started with a message exchanged on Facebook! With over thirty years of diving experience, my passion for shipwrecks is unwavering. Beyond underwater exploration, I love discovering the buried history behind each wreck.

Ten years ago, while searching for information on a wreck near Dover, I realized that it was accessible from the Belgian coast. My research was unfruitful until, in a moment of desperation, I typed the name of the ship on Facebook. To my great surprise, I found a page entirely dedicated to this wreck! The comments led to a certain Eddie Huzzey, an expert on the subject. After contacting him, I received an unexpected response: “Who the fuck are you and what the fuck do you want from me?” Although shocking, this did not discourage me. I explained my interest in the wreck, and he later agreed to become friends, even inviting me a week later to a research expedition. Since then, I have traveled to Dover several times a year to explore the countless sunken ships in the area.
