The 18th edition of the ‘Images de l’eau delà’ festival was held on the last weekend of November in La Chapelle Saint-Mesmin.After a virtual 2020 competition and despite a looming health threat, the festival took advantage of this weekend to reunite with its attendees in person. The central theme of this edition was freshwater. Geographically and health-wise distant from the seas, inland waters have become a favorite spot for many to pursue their activities as divers, biologists, photographers. Freshwater enthusiasts animated this festival: Rémi Masson, freediver, biologist, and filmmaker, Steven Weinberg, renowned biologist and author of numerous identification books, Serge Dumont, diver, biologist, researcher, and filmmaker, Laurent Gauthier, FFESSM national biology instructor, and Gérard Chamelot, president of the CODEP 45 biology commission.
