Since 2023, the diving center in Var, Aqualonde, offers a comprehensive and professional training program allowing you to become an instructor both in France and worldwide!
Becoming a diving instructor in France requires a path quite different from that needed to teach diving elsewhere in the world. A French specificity that quickly becomes an organizational headache, a time and budget management puzzle for those wishing to obtain both certifications! Based on this observation, Aqualonde has decided to offer a combined training leading to obtaining both the French state diploma for diving instructor (DEJEPS) and the PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT).
Several trainings in one!
This training, called GoPro (for GoProfessional), offers personalized follow-up and support, tailored to everyone’s constraints, following the different steps leading to the two diplomas: level 3, confirmed nitrox, dive guide, access to the MF1 instructor bridge, Open Water Scuba Instructor, Emergency First Respond Instructor as well as specialty instructor training are the blocks included in the training before validating the DEJEPS (equivalent to a 2-year higher education degree) and the PADI MSDT.

A professionalizing experience
The training lasts on average 15 months and includes a season within the Aqualonde team! « We chose to go through the MF1 bridge to allow our trainees a longer presence in the company and thus ensure them a better on-the-ground experience, explains Clément Druilhe, manager of Aqualonde and diving instructor. Our first trainees spent over a year at the center and came out with truly solid experience! » It is also possible to complete this internship by following up with an additional season, in the southern hemisphere, with a partner center located in Mauritius.
A curriculum open to all!
The training is just as much for young post-high school graduates wishing to become diving instructors: « they thus obtain a recognized diploma, equivalent to a 2-year higher education degree, which is valuable, which reassures them, » adds Clément; as for seasoned divers, often level 4 and from the associative diving sector, wishing to make a professional reconversion and turn their passion into their profession!
The cost of the training, starting at €11,000, can benefit from various aids (CPF, professional reconversion aid, employment agency …) and it is possible to add options and supplements (e.g., PADI IDC Staff).
