« JI was born in 1963 in Morocco. The Bouznika beach, south of Rabat, was my playground. At 5, I was freediving. I would go down along the ropes with rubber fins. I discovered the diving suit with tourists, but I preferred freediving. I was captivated by Cousteau and Albert Falco. At 9, I saved up to buy the same mask I saw on TV.«
