Annual meeting for underwater protection and research, the « Underwater » festival is held each year on the Dhidhoofinolhu islet in the Maldives, as part of Hotel Lux South Ari Atoll. From September 16 to 22, Dive in! will let you experience this event organized in partnership with Euro-Divers Maldives and Dr. Drew Richardson, CEO of PADI and founder of Project Aware, a movement bringing together divers committed to ocean protection.

For one week, each participant can explore the renowned dive spots of the southern Ari atoll, try underwater photography, experience scooter diving, discuss measures to protect the local marine wildlife, or even discover the first autonomous diving drone iBubble.

On the agenda: workshops, film screenings, conferences, but above all, a lot of diving, notably with the star of the location: the whale shark. Marine biologist Mark McMillan will present his research on the world’s largest fish and will accompany participants to observeRhincodon typus, a species threatened by overfishing.
