La English competition open to the international ‘Underwater Photographer of the Year’ or UPY has been searching every year since 1965 for the most beautiful underwater photos, whether taken at sea, in fresh water, or even in a pool. This international photography contest offers 10 categories of underwater photos: wide angle, macro, wrecks, behavior, portrait, compact, promising talent, and three categories for British waters with macro, wide angle, and compact. Additionally, a category awards the best underwater photographers of the year across all categories.
