On June 30, as part of the Festival Between Rhône and Saône, the inauguration of the exhibition Views on the Mediterranean took place on the railings of the Tony Bertrand aquatic center.
Here begins the Mediterranean! At the heart of Lyon flows the second most important river emptying into the Great Blue: the Rhône. Its watershed is a major hub of economic activities and carries substances from industrial, agricultural, and urban sources.
This exhibition, a regular on the Mediterranean coast, is now being exported to Lyon and finds its rightful place here! In the form of an alphabet book, it aims to show Lyonnais all the richness and beauty of the biodiversity found at the river’s mouth, while also raising awareness with the following message: « protect the sea from the land. »

The exhibition Views on the Mediterranean is drawn from the book of the same name published by the magazine Plongez! It is set up in partnership with the Rhône Mediterranean Corsica Water Agency and the city of Lyon as part of the second edition of the Festival Between Rhône and Saône. It is accessible to all on the railings of the Tony Bertrand aquatic center throughout the month of July.
