For more than 25 years, the association Objectif Atlantide has been innovating in the diving world by offering new activities that are both fun and educational. Through its photographic treasure hunts, it offers a large annual event in the field of scuba diving. Deeply committed to the preservation of the marine environment, the association is engaged in raising awareness among all types of divers about the fragility of the habitats and species (both plant and animal) that live there. The value of this game is to rekindle interest in sites that may have already been dived (more precise observations of species and environments), as well as to improve one’s technique in stabilizing and approaching species. Anyone who has already participated becomes part of the great family of Fun Explorers!Game RulesThe underwater treasure hunt is open to all divers (children, adults, seniors, disabled…), from the lowest level to the most experienced. All you need is a digital camera with housing. Participants must photograph around forty underwater species indicated on boards available on the website of the game. Then, once registered for free on the site, just submit your series of photos, with the goal of accumulating as many shots as possible within the allotted time. The best-ranked series are then judged by a panel, which checks the identifications and determines the winner(s). All registered individuals are also entered into a draw several times a month to win prizes.

During your dives, do not touch the flora and fauna to take your photos, do not disturb the marine organisms. The more gently you approach while being well stabilized, the more likely you are to capture your clue in a photo. Thus, you will become an informed Fun Explorer. In the Mediterranean
Until November 30, 2016, the Mediterranean photo nature challenge by Objectif Atlantide in diving takes place at 2 levels. The first level called Explorer for all divers and a second named Expert for those who want a slightly more complicated version, with species less easy to find and/or photograph. All species to be photographed live between 0 and 20 meters deep on all Mediterranean diving sites. Therefore, it’s not necessary to dive deep, especially since this would reduce your dive time and thus perhaps your chances of ensuring a maximum of « photo clues ».
In the Mediterranean, there is also the photo nature challenge for snorkeling until October 15, 2016.
