Created in 1989 by Daniel Méouchy, a passionate diver, Objective Atlantis is an original adventure aimed at discovering the marine environment in a playful way. All participants in this naturalist treasure hunt originally had to search for real clues underwater. Now, since 2014, it is about taking images of the fauna and flora present in a particular geographical area and posting them on the reference website www.funexplorers.fr. As a semi-closed sea, the Mediterranean and all its marine species are particularly sensitive to the slightest disturbance or source of pollution. This is why the association, deeply committed to preserving the marine environment, raises awareness among divers about the fragility of the habitats and species living there. In the Mediterranean until November 30The underwater treasure hunt is open to all divers (children, adults, seniors, the disabled…), from the lowest levels to the most experienced. All you need is a digital camera with a housing. Participants must photograph around forty marine species indicated on plaques available on the game’s website. Then, once registered on the site (10 euros per person for the year), they simply need to submit their series of photos, with the goal being to accumulate the highest number of pictures within the allotted time. The best-ranked series are then submitted to a jury, which checks the identifications and determines the winner(s). All registered participants enter several raffles to win prizes.

This Mediterranean nature photo challenge of Objective Atlantis in diving runs until November 30, 2017. All the species to be photographed mainly live between 0 and 20 meters depth. Therefore, it is not necessary to dive deep, especially as this would reduce your diving time and thus perhaps your chances of ensuring a maximum of « clue photos ».Dive! partner of the event– 10 one-year subscriptions to the print magazine will be offered to 10 divers who reached the 40 photos of the challenge (draw if more than 10 « winners » – a digital subscription will be offered to others).
– 50 accesses to 2 issues of the magazine in digital version for those who reached 30 photos.Heading to the Philippines in 2018Scheduled for the second fortnight of April 2018, this variant of the Mediterranean treasure hunt will take place in the Philippines. It will bring together several dozen passionate participants (maybe you!) from around the world over a week. Several challenges in this international competition will be proposed either by half-day or over multiple days, most of which will be creative and humorous challenges. This treasure hunt will be conducted by a team of 2 certified level 2 divers at a minimum (if there is a level 1, the team must include an instructor for supervision).
