Majestic, its thirty-meter wingspan and four engines make the American bomber with the imposing silhouette a must-see for diving in Corsica, just steps away from the shore.

With more than 30 meters of wingspan, a range of nearly 3,000 kilometers, and a crew of 10 men, this bomber, nicknamed ‘Her Did,’ belongs to the 97th Bomber Group. Built by Boeing, it is one of the most famous ‘flying fortresses’ of World War II. The wreck rests at a depth of 25 meters, less than 200 meters from the shore of Calvi, easily accessible within a few minutes of navigation. A wise tip: prepare quickly to make the most of this dive!
