Ladies and Gentlemen, presidents of associative clubs,
Ladies and Gentlemen, heads of commercial structures,
Ladies and Gentlemen, dear licensed members,I present myself to your votes at the head of the list « Your FFESSM, » in relation to my previous commitment and my federal experience as a shadow worker in the position of treasurer. The experience gained over all these years in the service of our federation reassures me in the idea of further investing to carry this team project forward.
We have been working for several months with passion on the basis of shared values and methods that we will enhance for the benefit of all. We wish to present our vision of the federation of tomorrow.
Yes, we are indeed talking about your federation, it is unique and shared.
The term federation should be understood etymologically in the sense of union, communion, and association of common interests.
We speak of federating our members, but around what values?
First, the pleasure of practicing activities, the one we experience in our personal practice and that we share with others during our encounters.
The respect for oneself, others, and the environment as an essential value. Practicing our favorite activities with respect for others and our environment is ultimately taking care of oneself.
The sharing between all practitioners, competitive and leisure athletes remains the very essence of our activities, a common value for each licensed member, whether they are a simple contemplative practitioner, a competitive athlete or not, a discipline leader, a volunteer manager or professional.Education and the transmission of knowledge, skills, and values. Education is an essential value, necessary for the sustainability of our federation. It is our responsibility to attract young audiences and all those who dream about our activities in order to prepare our federation of tomorrow.
Our team intends to rely on working together for each licensed member. We firmly believe in the virtues of group work, this principle will remain the cornerstone of our actions.
We are collectively much keener and more effective. While group work may be more time-consuming, it is also richer and ultimately of much better quality. The work will not be exclusively entrusted to national elects but will build on the efforts carried out regionally or locally to invigorate and enhance them.
We also base our project on the transparency of our actions. After analyzing the situation of our federation, we propose seven strong axes of development for the next four years, as well as the implementation and monitoring methods of the actions. We have learned in recent months that external constraints can significantly impact our forecasts. We believe in consistency in pursuing the announced objectives, and we will ensure that any potential amendments are argued with complete transparency with you.
Thus, our priority urgencies are the plan to relaunch federal activities to reduce the impacts of the health crisis and the issue of the IT system which has hindered the functioning of our federation for over a year and a half.
However, it is not our intention to overhaul everything within our federation. Among the great and beautiful accomplishments made by our predecessors, some will be continued, while others will need to be revisited. But societal changes, the evolution of practices, and public expectations call for innovative responses. The federation is powered by you, the active forces. If we know that we can count on you in the interest of everyone, reciprocity is one of our commitments: clubs, structures, and licensed members will be able to rely on an attentive executive committee, engaged in dialogue and responsive to highlight past achievements, correct errors, and improve them to better prepare for the future. Also, I leave it to you to detail the seven axes of work that we propose to implement in the « Your FFESSM – Together, let’s develop our federation » program.
