In the south of Egypt, the Red Sea reveals itself to divers in search of freedom. At Marsa Shagra, a preserved reef offers a unique experience, where everyone can explore the rich and varied underwater world at their own pace.
A preserved and accessible reef
For over 25 years, the Marsa Shagra reef has been a true marine sanctuary. Although it is not part of a protected marine area, fishing is strictly prohibited in the bay and near the reef. The flat area is also inaccessible, whether on foot or by snorkeling, thus preserving this fragile ecosystem.
The House Reef, a true playground for divers, begins just a few meters below the surface. On a pristine sandy bottom, corals and small drop-offs shelter an impressive biodiversity. More than 300 species of fish, including clownfish, parrotfish, and stingrays, thrive in these warm waters, with temperatures around 28 degrees in autumn. Divers can enjoy a beautiful underwater stroll at depths ranging from 10 to 15 meters.

Independent diving: Equipment and departure
At Marsa Shagra, equipment is picked up at your own pace. Each diver has a personal locker for their gear. Tanks, whether filled with air or nitrox, are refilled after each use, allowing for total independence. Divers can immerse themselves at their convenience, starting from 6 AM, while respecting the limits of their certification.
