For example, support for bottom purse seine fishing or trawling in protected areas is unacceptable. France must do more to honor its role as organizer of the United Nations Ocean Conference in 2025. Initial steps, such as the Brest Summit under the auspices of Olivier Poivre d’Arvor and Ashok Adiceam, demonstrate a growing awareness.
