The international film festival dedicated to sharks is back at the Club de l’Étoile, in Paris, from September 13 to 15, 2024. On this occasion, Plongez! offers you the chance to win 5 VIP passes!
For 5 years, shark and cinema enthusiasts have been gathering at the magnificent Club de l’Étoile in Paris to share their common passion during the festival Paris Shark Week. For this 2024 edition, come attend premieres, conferences, discover new documentaries, and films in competition, while enjoying the surprising works of the « sharksploitation » category.
Éric Clua, sponsor of the 5th edition of the Paris Shark Week
An experienced freediver and professional diver, Éric Clua is a veterinarian by training, holds a doctorate in marine biology, and is a research director at Paris Sciences & Lettres (École Pratique des Hautes Études). Since 2016, he has been affiliated with the CRIOBE laboratory (Perpignan and French Polynesia), specializing in the conservation and behavioral ecology of large sharks. His research aims to better understand the motivations of sharks when they attack humans, focusing on the individual identification of « rogue sharks » and advocating for their selective removal to limit the risk of recurrence.
Éric Clua will give a lecture on this subject on Sunday, September 15.
Six films in competition and an exceptional jury
Discover the documentaries in competition this year: Sharkwrecked Crash Landing, Great White Serial Killer: Fatal Christmas, Expedition Unknown: Megalodon, The Last Shark, Andrew Mayne Ghost Diver, et Mothersharker: Hammer Time.
