From November 24 to 26, the fourteenth edition of the festival ‘Images of Beyond Water’ took place in Chapelle Saint-Mesmin (Loiret). Michel Lambinet, FFESSM technical instructor and director of the Gravière du Fort, Patrick Désormais, president of the Ile de France audiovisual commission and Pascal Zani, marine biology instructor and member of BioObs, were the guests of this event. On Friday, they led conferences and debates – on topics such as the Thau lagoon or the Gravière du Fort – and they presented the Night of Diving on Saturday. During this evening, award-winning photos and films were screened to the public. The pictures by photographers, both amateur and master, were awarded in three categories: ambiance, macro, and biologically themed photos.
During this festival, organized by the CRC (Regional Center Committee) and the Chapelle diving group in partnership with the municipality of La Chapelle Saint-Mesmin, nearly 200 children from the community attended the first day which was dedicated to them. On Saturday, the Aquatic Flea Market, a used diving equipment sale, was offered to visitors along with photography workshops and marine biology stands.
