This place is a true paradise for tek diving enthusiasts, an exploration ground that Gilles Di Raimondo has had the chance to discover.

Ideal diving conditions

At the beginning of June, the Italian coast proves exceptional for tek divers. The weather is mild, the water is already warm, which is crucial for long decompression stops, notes the photographer. In addition, the attendance is quite reasonable on the Mediterranean shores.

The small team led by Fulvio Paparella of Libeccio Tek Diving begins with the Haven. « It’s the most accessible wreck, » notes Gilles. It is an ideal deep dive to adjust buoyancy and master balance. The wreck’s superstructures reach about thirty meters, allowing easy exploration, even though the deck is at 50 meters and the propeller nearly 80. Despite the absence of traps, divers must remain vigilant not to stir sediments around this immense Mediterranean wreck.
