Beyond the feats of champions – like Arnaud Gérald who reached a depth of 122 meters in July in the Bahamas – apnea can be beneficial to each of us.

Therapy through apnea

Guillaume Néry, a world-renowned freediver, discusses the benefits of this practice: « Immersing myself, stopping my breath allows me to reconnect with nature, to be in the present moment, and to regain a form of harmony. […] I deactivate my mind. My body calms down, I release tensions, and I am more serene. I feel completely relaxed and it’s a pure moment of happiness. » These benefits are not reserved for champions; apnea is accessible to all, regardless of age or physical condition. One can quickly appreciate its advantages and practice it for pleasure, without leaving one’s comfort zone.
